Super amazing event with Old SteelHouse Distillery! We got to tour the historic grounds where they are renovating and building their distillery and spend the afternoon at their Bardstown tasting room. The whole team showed us such a good time! The tasting was so excellent, I had to bring a bottle home with me! I canโt wait to see what is next for them ๐ฅ

I found my whiskey church โช๏ธ๐ฅ The Last Refuge is now in my top 5 of best bars EVER. A decommissioned church turned into whiskey heaven. We had some amazing pours from Heavenโs Door, Tin Cup and Dehart Whiskey ๐ฅ

Iโd like to tell you the True Story of the time I visited a Castle in Kentucky ๐ฐ๐ฅ We were treated like royalty today at the Kentucky Castle, sipping True Story whiskies over a delicious lunch ๐ฅ This place is crazy beautiful, the story of its beginnings are wild and the future is bright. I have always loved finished whiskies and I just had to bring home the Rye ๐ I canโt wait to savor this bottle with friends at home and keep the story going.

I got a chance to try a bottle of Doc Brown Farm & Distilleryโs Day Swigger Hot Honey ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ถ๏ธ The bourbon is finished in honey and chili pepper barrels! And sheโs got a kick! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
On the nose: coffee grounds, pepper, aromatic bitters โ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ
Palate: spicy, fresh pepper seeds, subtle honey, Tabasco sauce ๐ซ๐ถ๏ธ๐ฏ
Finish: tingly, long and spicy
I also sipped over ice which elevated the honey flavor on the palate. ๐ง
If you are looking for a powerhouse pepper bourbon this is the one! ๐ถ๏ธ๐ซ
